    Terms of Service

    Effective 10 September 2026 · soundslikeyoumusic.com

    1. Who We Are and What These Terms Cover

    These terms are between you and Sounds Like You LTD (company number 13352232) (“Sounds Like You”, “we”, “us” or “our”). They apply when you use this website, create an account, contact us, or obtain any paid or free product from us, including sample packs, loops, one-shots, presets, MIDI files, project files, software plug-ins, standalone applications, updates and related documentation (together, the “Products”).

    By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. A Product may also include product-specific licence terms or an end-user licence agreement (“EULA”). If a EULA conflicts with these terms about use of that software, the EULA controls for that software.

    2. Eligibility and Accounts

    You must be at least 18, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these terms for you. Information you give us must be accurate and current. You are responsible for protecting your account and download links, and for activity carried out using them. Tell us promptly if you believe they have been compromised.

    3. Orders, Prices and Payment

    Product pages describe the main features, price, compatibility and delivery method. Prices and promotions may change for future orders. The total price, including applicable taxes, is shown before payment. We may reject or cancel an order where there is an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, unauthorised resale or another lawful reason; if payment has been taken, it will be refunded.

    Our checkout is provided by Stripe. Purchases are sold through Onelink, Stripe’s merchant of record service: Stripe processes payment, calculates and remits applicable transaction taxes, handles payment support and is the seller shown on your receipt, and the charge appears on your statement beginning “LINK.COM*”. Your purchase is also subject to the payment terms presented at checkout. Orders placed before 10 September 2026 were sold by our previous payment provider, whose buyer terms continue to apply to those orders. Sounds Like You remains the creator and licensor of the Product and provides product support. Nothing in either set of terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

    4. Digital Delivery

    Products are delivered electronically, normally by an on-screen link, email or customer account. You are responsible for providing a working email address, keeping a lawful backup and checking the stated system requirements before purchase. If delivery fails, contact us and we will provide reasonable assistance. Access may depend on third-party platforms and internet availability.

    5. Licence for Samples, Presets and Other Sound Content

    Unless a Product page or included licence says otherwise, one purchase grants one named user a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to use and modify the Product’s sounds, presets, MIDI and similar content in original musical, audio, audiovisual, game and performance projects, including commercial projects.

    You may share a finished or work-in-progress project with a genuine collaborator only as needed to work on that project. The collaborator receives no independent right to extract or reuse the source Product.

    You must not:

    • sell, sublicense, distribute, upload, lend or share the Product or its source files, whether unchanged or lightly modified;
    • include source files in a competing sample pack, preset bank, sound library, template or other product from which they can be extracted;
    • claim ownership of an unmodified sound through Content ID, fingerprinting or a similar rights-management system in a way that restricts other lawful users;
    • use the Product or source files to train, fine-tune, evaluate or build an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model without our written permission; or
    • share account credentials, download links, serial numbers or activation data.

    6. Licence for Plug-ins and Standalone Software

    Unless a product-specific EULA says otherwise, one purchase grants one named user a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software on devices that user owns or controls. You may use audio and other output you lawfully create with the software in commercial projects without paying us additional royalties.

    You must not redistribute, rent, lease, sublicense or sell the software or licence; share activation credentials; bypass technical protections; or reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where applicable law expressly permits an activity that cannot lawfully be restricted. Updates, compatibility and support are provided as stated on the Product page or in the applicable EULA; a purchase does not promise every future feature, operating system or host version.

    7. Free Products

    Free downloads remain our intellectual property and are licensed, not sold. The same restrictions that apply to the equivalent paid Product category apply to free Products unless we clearly state otherwise.

    8. Refunds and Cancellation

    Our voluntary 14-day refund promise and instructions are in our Refund Policy. If you ask us to supply digital content immediately, you acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel may end once supply begins, where the law allows. Our voluntary refund promise and your statutory rights in faulty or misdescribed digital content are not affected.

    9. Intellectual Property and User Content

    The website, Products, branding, artwork, software and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. Except for the licences expressly granted above, no rights are transferred to you.

    You keep ownership of lawful reviews, comments and other material you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and display that material for operating and promoting our business. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and that the material is not unlawful, misleading, defamatory, infringing or malicious. You may ask us to stop using a review in future marketing.

    10. Acceptable Use

    You must not use the website or Products unlawfully; infringe another person’s rights; introduce malware; probe or bypass security; scrape or automate access in a way that burdens the service; impersonate another person; make a fraudulent purchase; or interfere with the website, checkout, licensing or delivery systems.

    11. Third-Party Services and Availability

    The website and Products may work with third-party hosts, DAWs, operating systems, plug-in formats, payment services and links. Their own terms apply to their services, and we do not control them. We may maintain, update, suspend or discontinue parts of the website or a Product, but this does not remove rights you already have under a completed purchase or applicable law.

    12. Quality, Warranties and Liability

    If you are a consumer, Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a purpose you make known where legally applicable, and as described. Nothing in these terms excludes remedies or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

    We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for damage caused by incompatible equipment or third-party software contrary to stated requirements, or for business losses where you use a Product wholly for commercial purposes. Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.

    If you act in the course of business, to the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude implied terms and liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, data or opportunity. Our aggregate liability relating to an order will not exceed the amount paid for the affected Product, except for liability that cannot legally be limited.

    13. Suspension and Termination

    We may suspend access or terminate a licence if you materially breach these terms, including by sharing or reselling Products, and do not remedy a remediable breach after notice. On termination, you must stop using and delete the affected Product and source files. Rights in finished works lawfully created before termination are unaffected unless the licence was obtained through fraud or infringement.

    14. Privacy

    Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, and our Cookie Policy explains our use of cookies and browser storage.

    15. Changes to These Terms

    We may update these terms prospectively for legal, security, technical or business reasons. The effective date above will change and material changes will be highlighted where reasonable. The terms accepted when you purchased continue to govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or you agree otherwise.

    16. Governing Law and Disputes

    These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections provided by the law of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in any court available to you under applicable consumer law. If you are acting in business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
